The Multiple award winning Godfrey Johnson will enchant you with a variety of colourful characters including the very “concerned”citizen Nugent and the hyper neurotic new age wonder woman, Juniper Jade. The show will include new satirical songs covering a wide range of trending themes from corporate cannibals to post hipster hipsters. Watch as he effortlessly plays piano, sings and entertains with an extensive repertoire ranging from Stephen Sondheim to David Bowie. Enjoy a good laugh and perhaps a subtle tear.

Johnson was most recently seen in the acclaimed  ‘Vaslav’ directed by Lara Bye.  He was also responsible for composing the music for Pieter-Dirk Uys’ ‘Die Van Aardes Van Grootoor’ which enjoyed great success at The Theatre on The Bay. In 2015 he was nominated for 3 Fleur du Cap Awards for best actor in a musical , best solo performance and best musical composer. His other notable shows are ‘Flirting with Coward’ and ‘The Shadow of Brel’. In 2015 he appeared in David Kramer's new musical, "Orpheus in Africa."

It's almost impossible to believe that Unzipped is one man and a piano on stage Godfrey Johnson is a musical maestro and has a wicked send of humour to boot. A fabulous evening that had me crying and laughing, sometimes at the same time.
